Truth Drums

The truth is, learning online is a great way to start beginners drum lessons. Why? Basically, and I'm going to cut to the chase here, the simple fact is THE PRICE! Compare traditional private drum lessons for the beginner with learning and studying online.

Firstly need I mention those magical two words YOU and TUBE?  With Youtube there is a massive wealth of lessons out there for starter drummers as well as a wealth of well, let's say crap out there too.

I understand if this sounds like an insane idea to you but hear me out on this one. I've had this game for almost two weeks now and I'm amazed at the power of the "Drum Trainer" part of the game and the practice mode when drumming on The Beatles songs that lets you play a specific part of the song over and over again until you get it just right.

Those drum sticks. They look like fingers, do they not?

Well, they may look like fingers and that is for a reason. Think of it this way: When you play drums, you use your hands. Now you need a stronger tool in your hands to help you make the sounds you like. You cannot do that with your fingers because the sounds that would come out would be different each time. But if you had those finger-like tools, you can actually drum the day away and still be able to achieve the same kind of sound over and over again. So instead of just your bare hands or fingers, the drum sticks are there as an extension of your hand.
